About The Password App
The story
The idea for The Password App came about when I was cleaning up compromised passwords after a website I used got hacked. I realized how neglected my passwords had become—about 300 accounts scattered across random websites, many using the same password I'd reused 20+ times.
When I started changing them manually, I quickly discovered how painful it is. Some websites no longer existed. Others didn't even allow password changes. The rest took 5+ minutes each. That's over 25 hours of tedious clicking for my 300 accounts—digital labor I never signed up for.
So I built the tool I wished existed.
The Password App uses AI to automate the tedious work of changing passwords.
Your passwords are stored 100% locally on your device. The AI sees the screen. It never sees your passwords.
This isn't another password manager asking you to trust the cloud with your most sensitive data. It's a local-first automation tool that handles the tedious clicking so you don't have to.
Credential stuffing attacks are the #1 way hackers break into accounts. But the friction of changing passwords means most people never do it. I built this app to remove that friction.
